Welcome to My Journey!
Hello everyone! I’m Neil Ruddy, an amateur photographer, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’d love to share my photographic journey with you, showcasing the beautiful places around Yorkshire that I’ve explored and captured over the last forty years.
Before I guide you through my website, let me tell you a little bit about how it all started.
From Film to Digital My journey began when my dad gave me a Zenith 35mm camera. Later on, I moved to a Ricoh XRS—a solar-powered 35mm camera that I used to photograph the stunning local landscapes right outside my door. As my passion grew, I stepped up to larger formats, using a Bronica 6x6 medium-format camera to capture the incredible details of the Yorkshire Dales, the East Coast, and the Calderdale areas. When the digital era finally arrived, I made the leap, and today I shoot with a full-frame Nikon DSLR and a Panasonic compact camera with a Leica lens.

● Our industrial past (and so much more!)
